It was a whole day of inspirational interaction between three of us (Sasha, Goran and me) traveling from Vancouver to Seattle to see Picasso Masterpieces at SAM (Seattle Art Museum). On the way to Seattle we heard radio show about most influential bass players in punk-rock music during seventies and beginning of eighties. Some of the musicians didn’t even know how to play bass when they started but their energy, passion and power of expression made them innovate and found other ways of using the instrument that inspired other artist towards evolution and progress in expressing themselves, thus improving and revolutionizing the media. They were not part of the establishment and academic nearsightedness, which gave them infinite open space to look into and play with, no borders. Academic training in most cases is necessary but sometimes leaps in evolution are made on basis of a faith and belief in extraordinary momentum. I am academically trained myself and sometimes I have a need to open my mind and heart, look into unseen world of possibilities and get out of cocoon I made for myself over the years to be able to change and develop.

Radio show  information and our outlook of the idea we discussed in the car inspired me to look at the Picasso exhibit through different lens than just as great artist being presented. Sheer belief in expressing oneself with all the might and vigour brings magical forces together to produce simple line on the paper, line that could inspire and give life…Consciously or intuitively, Picasso was using his belief to move his spirit across canvases and inside sculptures that gave them life we feel today when we open our minds and hearts to his creation. For most of the people it is lines, shapes and colours they see, but content that carries ideas, passion, emotions, life itself is what we have to observe. Than all the lines, shapes and colours become storytellers narrating a tale of universal creation.

How deeply you feel connected to extraordinary momentum in the time of creation determines the power of your artistic expression, no matter in what form.

After the visit to the museum I was delighted with the feeling of freedom in my heart. Just freedom.

Giftworks and Pizazz Four Artists Exhibition

Well, dear friends, every day we live is a miracle. Why? Because we cannot avoid our own creation abilities. We create every moment of our lives whether we know it or not. We all usually create by default. Our habitual thoughts and believes run by the subconscious mind create same life over and over, until we consciously use our power the right way. Looking at the world through our heart and then choosing the thoughts and feelings consciously makes all the difference and the world becomes what we always dreamed of. I am choosing this words and I am choosing the sketch of “Horseshoe Bay #1″ to present here and that is my creative process…

Love,

Atza

Atza (Alexander V), Artist, Designer – 12 conversations about creativity by Barcelona Media Design

This is Vancouver’s Steam Clock Painting. Perspective shows Starbucks on the right and North Vancouver and Seymour Mountain in the background in the middle, behind the Steam Clock. Scenes like this open a door inside my world towards the moments I am very present and aware. Scene become frozen and carry vibration that could be felt if you are sensitive and drawn to the art piece. Well, happy feeling…

Is beauty important in our life? I think it is!!! I realized few days ago when watching 25 years worth of photographs in slide show I assembled (Nadja’s and my anniversary) that some of my, highly acclaimed, interests towards beauty in life, art, design etc. were changed and watered down with all the extra information (I did not filter) I allowed to enter into my experience. Beauty is of course individual, personal experience that we should cherish and cultivate to be able to see it and enjoy it in our life. Beauty is everywhere, but when we see it and acknowledge the existence and our awareness of it, we bring more and more of beautiful scenes, people, art, etc. into our experience. We become abundant with inspiration for others as well, which is another beautiful purpose for existence…

So, to focus what you allow to enter into your life is very important. My advice is to choose well (You have the right!) and focus on beauty that tickles your heart.

Love,

Atza (Alexander V)
