Well, dear friends, every day we live is a miracle. Why? Because we cannot avoid our own creation abilities. We create every moment of our lives whether we know it or not. We all usually create by default. Our habitual thoughts and believes run by the subconscious mind create same life over and over, until we consciously use our power the right way. Looking at the world through our heart and then choosing the thoughts and feelings consciously makes all the difference and the world becomes what we always dreamed of. I am choosing this words and I am choosing the sketch of “Horseshoe Bay #1″ to present here and that is my creative process…

Love,

Atza

This is Vancouver’s Steam Clock Painting. Perspective shows Starbucks on the right and North Vancouver and Seymour Mountain in the background in the middle, behind the Steam Clock. Scenes like this open a door inside my world towards the moments I am very present and aware. Scene become frozen and carry vibration that could be felt if you are sensitive and drawn to the art piece. Well, happy feeling…

Is beauty important in our life? I think it is!!! I realized few days ago when watching 25 years worth of photographs in slide show I assembled (Nadja’s and my anniversary) that some of my, highly acclaimed, interests towards beauty in life, art, design etc. were changed and watered down with all the extra information (I did not filter) I allowed to enter into my experience. Beauty is of course individual, personal experience that we should cherish and cultivate to be able to see it and enjoy it in our life. Beauty is everywhere, but when we see it and acknowledge the existence and our awareness of it, we bring more and more of beautiful scenes, people, art, etc. into our experience. We become abundant with inspiration for others as well, which is another beautiful purpose for existence…

So, to focus what you allow to enter into your life is very important. My advice is to choose well (You have the right!) and focus on beauty that tickles your heart.

Love,

Atza (Alexander V)

Park Royal Village 1, Acrylic on Canvas, 10"x 8" (25 x 20 cm)

Here is last painting of four that I did on small format 20 x 20 cm (8″x8″), 10 cm (4″) deep canvas, so they look like boxes. 3D feeling and working around the canvas was fun and visually, story goes on to tell us more than regular canvas. If you focus on these boxes it seems somebody is leading you by hand to explore more and understand better scenery depicted. I found that, because you can’t see whole image, because you have to look around the canvas, you get more involved and you have to remember how the side you can’t see looks like. It is similar feeling to experiencing sculpture, mobile or installation art. Being able to display canvas boxes freestanding, not just on the wall, brings more functional application as well.

Don’t forget creative thoughts, complimenting others, sharing ideas and inspiring others all  contribute to changed world that we want to live in. Every person makes a difference and could lead this world into amazing future. Just feel the moment (of creation) and stay within for a while.

Love,

Atza

During Harmony Arts Festival I did plein air (painted outside on location) painting of Ferry Building Gallery. It was pouring rain, I had two umbrellas mounted on the easel and still got water behind my neck and drips of water on the canvas. Fortunately I work in acrylics and it worked out great at the end. It was good experience to feel all the elements of nature while focused on canvas. Actually I was so focused on painting that I did not even notice water dripping down my back, until the end. I think these are precious moments when you lose a track of time and you exist only in your chosen world. We often (or all the time) forget that our world of creation is the only one that is real and from which everything comes into the existence. Like painting, everything else, in our life, could be created with same effort and painted as we wish.

There is a few photos from the festival and one is with Raymond Chow, great artist that visited my booth and had few questions. It was a great show with lots of interest, great chats and good sales. Thank you all for your support and love of art.

Dundarave Village in West Vancouver, BC is on the favourite list of mine for spending time on the beach, café or restaurant surrounded with warmth in a cute colourful community. This first painting depicts the scene with bench, street lamp, fire hydrant and Canada Post mailbox where discreet Canada flag overlooks the scenery. Vancouver’s North Shore is so rich with scenes of serenity, places to meet friends and loved ones, which combine my necessary topics: people, architecture and nature, that discovering new corners to paint on canvas, brings real joy and peace.

Thanks Vancouver,

Still discovering, Atza.

Here is third painting of Ferry Building Gallery in vibrant red. Today is last day of first weekend at Harmony Arts Festival and it was success in many ways. As first big public exposure of my art pieces, tremendous amount of people had positive feedback and great interest  in technique and art process. I would like to thank all the buyers and visitors for their passionate curiosity and thirst for knowledge they expressed. People recognized in paintings places where they work and live, where their friends and relatives live, cars their friends drive, signs and details they pass by every day. I learned about history of our neighbourhood as well. I heard that Ferry Building Gallery after Ferries stopped operating was a bus depot and that drivers took they break inside the future gallery where they ate their lunch and rested.

Huge thank you to all that came to see me at the Harmony Arts, to have a chat, to enjoy the art, to buy the art, it was amazing experience for me.

Love you all,

Atza
